How it Works

  • Capture SnipIts™ - anything you would ordinarily highlight, copy, clip, cut and paste is a SnipIt.™
    • Capture it by typing, voice recognition, scanning/OCR, digital photograph of text or picture/OCR.
    • Eliminate making copies, highlighting, and piles of copies you don’t remember.
    • Keep it in a safe place forever, along with its source bibliographic information
    • Anchor it to the appropriate outline section of multiple writing projects
    • Add comments, notes to self, key words, page numbers.
    • Search multiple fields.

  • Build a dynamic outline for the writing project
    • Start with a freeform or standard 5 section structure
    • Add up to six levels of outlining to organize down to the smallest section

  • Anchor any SnipIt™ to one or more sections of the outline
    • Arrange SnipIt’s in proper sequence within the outline section
    • Drag and drop any outline section heading and the SnipIt’s will follow

  • Create a WritingScript™ - literally a script to guide your writing
    • Envision the project outline with all SnipIt’s in the appropriate sections, with notes regarding quotation, paraphrase, note to self, and comments so you can remember what was in your mind when you first found the SnipIt™
    • Show the WritingScript on screen in a window next to your draft document for instant review of your organized research and auto-entry of citations and reference listings

  • Auto-format an MSWord™ document to hold your draft writing as your writing project progresses
    • Select publishing format (APA with others to be added) on the Project page and let ResearchWriter automatically setup your document complete with page formatting, headers from the project outline, pages for front matter and back matter
    • Automatically add formatted in-text citations and automatically add formatted source document biblio information to the reference list.
    • Automatically create a formatted reference list/bibliography containing only documents that have been cited.
